CatchJobs Contact Terms
These contact terms set out how CatchJobs may contact jobseekers, how jobseekers may be contacted through the Platform, and the rules that apply to those communications. They should be read together with our Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
About these Contact Terms
These Contact Terms apply to all jobseekers and other individual users who create an account on the CatchJobs platform, submit profile information, upload a Video-CV or conventional CV, apply for a role, save a role, subscribe to updates, contact us, or otherwise use any communication feature made available through the Platform.
By creating an account, using the Platform or submitting information through it, you acknowledge that the Platform is designed to facilitate communication between users and, where relevant, between users and CatchJobs Limited.
Nothing in these Contact Terms guarantees that you will receive a job offer, interview invitation, reply from an employer or recruiter, or any minimum number of role alerts or communications.

We may contact you, or enable you to be contacted, by e-mail, in-Platform message, push notification, telephone, SMS or other messaging channel that we make available from time to time, provided that the relevant contact channel is available, lawful and appropriate for the purpose concerned.
Service and operational communications
We may send you service, transactional, operational and account-related communications where these are necessary for us to provide the Platform, administer your account, maintain security, enforce our terms, respond to your requests, process payments or subscriptions, investigate misuse, or otherwise run the Platform.
Examples include communications relating to account creation, login verification, password resets, security alerts, moderation decisions, technical notices, billing matters, complaints handling and changes to the Platform, the Services or our terms.
These communications are not direct marketing. If you do not wish to receive them, you may need to stop using the relevant feature or close your account, although we may still retain contact details as required to comply with legal obligations or to respect a previous opt-out request.
Role, employer and recruiter communications
If you create a profile, upload a Video-CV or conventional CV, apply for a role, save a role, indicate an interest in opportunities, or otherwise interact with employers or recruiters through the Platform, you agree that CatchJobs may use the contact details and preference information you provide to facilitate communications that are reasonably connected with recruitment activity.
These communications may include role alerts, confirmations that your application has been submitted, requests for additional information, employer or recruiter enquiries, interview invitations, interview reminders, scheduling messages, requests to update your profile, and notices that a role is no longer available.
Where you choose to make profile information visible to an employer or recruiter, or where you directly apply for a role, you acknowledge that the relevant employer or recruiter may contact you using the contact details or channels you have made available through the Platform or otherwise shared with them.
Once you decide to interact with, apply to, or share information with an employer or recruiter, some communications may take place outside the Platform and may be governed by that party's own policies and practices. We are not responsible for the content of third-party communications that we do not send or control.
Marketing and optional updates
We may send you information about services, features, content, promotions, reminders, newsletters and opportunities that we believe may be relevant to you. We will only do so where we are permitted by applicable law and where any required consent or preference setting has been obtained or another valid basis for sending that communication is available.
Marketing communications may be personalised using information about your profile, interests, activity on the Platform, applications, subscriptions or contact preferences so that we can send more relevant content.
You can opt out of marketing communications at any time using the unsubscribe mechanism in the relevant communication, via your account settings where available, or by contacting us directly. Opting out of marketing will not stop service or account-related communications.
Your preferences and your control
It is your responsibility to keep your contact details accurate and up to date, including your e-mail address, telephone number, notification settings and any preference selections that you make through the Platform.
We may use different contact channels for different types of communication. If you disable one channel, we may still contact you through another channel for service or operational reasons where we are entitled to do so.
You are responsible for checking any spam, junk or filtered message folders and for ensuring that communications from the Platform can be safely received by your e-mail provider, device or network.
Standards of conduct when using contact features
When using any messaging function, contact form or communication feature on the Platform you must act lawfully, honestly and respectfully. You must not harass, threaten, spam, impersonate another person, transmit unlawful or abusive content, or use any communication channel for unauthorised mass messaging or misleading conduct.
We may monitor, filter, suspend, restrict or remove communications, accounts or access where we reasonably believe it is necessary to protect users, investigate misuse, enforce our terms, comply with law, preserve evidence, or protect the integrity and reputation of the Platform.
Records of communications
We may create and retain records relating to communications sent to you, communications routed through the Platform, preference selections, consent records, unsubscribe actions, delivery logs, support tickets and complaint history for compliance, security, operational and evidential purposes.
How we process personal data connected with communications is described in our Privacy Policy and any other privacy notice or fair processing notice that we provide from time to time.
Third party providers and carriers
We may use third party service providers, communication platforms, hosting providers, analytics providers, customer support tools, push notification providers, mail delivery services and telecommunications or network providers to send, route, support or evidence communications.
Delivery of messages can depend on third party systems outside our control. We do not guarantee that any message will be delivered within a particular timeframe, or at all, where delivery is affected by device settings, carrier limitations, spam filtering, account status, internet connectivity or other third party restrictions.
Changes to these Contact Terms
We may revise or update these Contact Terms at any time to reflect changes to the Platform, the Services, our communication features, our business practices or the law. Where changes are significant we will endeavour to let users know, but it remains your responsibility to check the current version before using the Platform.
